Artist: Panda Bear Single: Bros 12" Label: Fatcat Release Date: Now Format: 12" and CD

Ending the year on a good note - Fatcat went and released the new single from Animal Collectives 'Panda Bear'. If you don't know - it was Panda Bear who started off AC. Yah! So my expectation, as might yours have been - that this record was going to be really trippy, psychedelic, out there and fucked up. Well - we were right!

It's the single preparing us for his new album coming out soon on the same label (which from reading around the net, I've read some pretty good random comments already!). It's 12 and a half minutes of wierdness with Panda's chanting, muffled instrumentation and other found sounds based around a repetitive guitar strum. Then we have the remix by AC's Avey Tare which makes it sound a little more like AC - with the removal of Panda's vocals and surgical insertion of AC electronic wierdness.

Lovely stuff.
