Velvet Grooves

Graceously Domino have released the new single from Bonnie Prince Billy to continue on from his album [insert title here] released yesteryear. And it feels like a great reminder of why I think the albums an absolute KILLER. First track is 'Strange Form Of Life', containing that beautiful voice from whoever that lady is in the back (Dawn McCarthy? (remember those wails from 'Gods Song'?)) - plus those lush, powerful instrumentals. If you didn't feel much involved with the album first time, this should bring it all back. It is indeed, great. And BPB's soulful vocals only generously add to the mix. Brilliant.

But nicely Domino have also put some other songs on there from another session - the 'Daytrotter Session', which I have no idea about admittedly. But this exclusivity makes this single a must get. The new tracks are more on the acoustic trails, but still no doubt shining as brightly as the rest of his songs...

And to top? OH YES! We have a video to 'Strange Form Of Life' and the eerie 'EBB Tide'... Can't get much better than this!!
