Band: AMP
Album: ALL OF YESTERDAY TOMORROW
Label: RROOPP
Release Date: Out now
Format: 3CD Deluxe Box including a detailed inner-notebook.

'I prefer the physical stuff - something you can hold, the artwork etc - wait until you see this Amp release I'm gonna send you, you'll love it!' - the words of Ali from RROOP. And he was quite right as this really is a package to be treasured; deluxe, complete, absolutely packed to the brim with info/rarities etc. You can tell a LOT of effort has been put into making this release something worth waiting for - and I think its paid off.

We're presented with a big thick 3CD pack of music from the sound collective 'AMP' who specialise in avant-ambient music, but more importantly - it spans loads of genres. Doom-metal, Avant-Psych (like Acid Mothers Temple), Avant-Jazz and much more. This is why there's 3 (full) CD's worth, because it'd be impossible to fit all this stuff into one.

It's a compilation on rare and unreleased tracks from a collective of musicians, from influencial groups - such as Flying Saucer Attack (Dave Pierce), Third Eye Foundation (Matt Elliott) and Main (Robert Hampson). So as you can probably tell - from a line-up of such incredible people, you'd expect to hear something good right? Well yes, you would. And you do indeed!

So to a fella like myself, who's completely new to AMP, this was a welcome suprise to hear something as diverse and entertaining as some parts of this CD. Some bits are incredibly detailed, whereas some bits are flat drone-rock or somewhat - but the strength is, it'll appeal to most people who like to be challenged. There's something for everyone in here with an open mind. Great stuff!
