Velvet Grooves is run by myself, Paul Meggs. I am a web developer, social media marketer and consultancy guy. So far, I operate on a freelance basis.

I am a keen music lover, and have worked within the music field for a number of years. Having previously worked for emusu.com as a Content Manager, I was then promoted after a while to Social Network Co-ordinator. During both positions, I had extensive discussions with clients on the handling of their product with unique visions on marketing using social networks. At the time, this was a relatively new phenomenon. Now it is a necessity.

Since working for Emusu, I embarked on a freelance venture to take this social media business further. And so Velvet Grooves was re-invented from a “press reviews” platform to what it is now.

I am also in progress of starting up a new record label, which will be highly independent. It will focus on releasing exciting new music, regardless of whether it fits a specific market. Full details to emerge in due course.
